As dog-lovers we know how important it is to be able to bring your 4-legged family member on holiday with you. Ty Berllan is suitable for one well-behaved pooch, although we ask that they remain downstairs wherever possible. We supply dog-poo bags and ask that owners are responsible for ensuring that any dog-poo is picked up and placed in one of the dedicated bins in the playing field just around the corner from the cottage.
The playing field is suitable for exercising your dog, and many local owners do the same. As the playing field is used by school children we ask that you are responsible and pick-up after your dog.
With countless opportunities for dog-walks on the doorstep, your four-legged family member will be equally at home as you are. Brecon is a very dog-friendly destination. Most pubs and many facilities will welcome your pooch, not to mention the miles of footpaths to explore across the National Park. For a less strenuous option take a stroll along the Brec-Mon towpath, taking in the scenery of this historic canal synonymous for transporting Welsh coal and wool from the mountains to the ports and industrial cities of South Wales. Promenade in the footsteps of the Victorians along the magnificent River Usk as it winds its way through the town or discover the unspoilt River Honddu, through the woodlands that border this pretty town.
Bannau Brycheiniog National Park has something for everyone. Whether it's a gentle stroll along the canal or a full-kit hike taking in the 'Fan-Dance' route you can be certain Ty Berllan Holiday Cottage is the place to stay. Minutes walk from the Brec-Mon Canal Basin and a short drive to the Pen-y-Fan National Trust Car Park all amenities are on your doorstep.
